problem with photoshop and corel installed togethe

Hi, I have both Photoshop 6 and Corel 8, both very powerful programmes. I like to use differant elements of both programmes but when I install both of them they seem to clash with one another, and things withing the programmes wont work properly. I have a large harddrive and good processor, my machine is only 6 months old, so the conflict isn't the fault of the comp. I would dearly like to use both programmes and have been told to put one of them on to it's own partition, I don't understand this can anyone help please. I am running xp home.

Can you describe it exactly? Put on different partition does not solve anything.

I have Photoshop 7 and CorelDraw 7. Both work together fine. No problems at all. Previously had no probs with Photoshop 6 and Corel 7. What exactly is happening, because it can't be the programs.

There's one machine here with Photoshop, CorelDraw and Paintshop Pro installed on it. Each program works fine. As the others have asked, what are the problems?
