Problem with Outlook Express Emails

For some unknown reason I can send or receive emails in Outlook Express, every now and then I am prompted to enter my user name and password, which I do. It gets hung up on the "authorising" stage.

I can log in to my ISP and access my emails online, but not through Outlook Express?

Any ideas folks?

P.S. After a time I get error messages..."your password is being rejected"

Sorry, I meant to say that I could NOT send or recieve emails.

This happens occasionally due to issues at the ISP's end (I guess typically a failure at the authorisation server). Not much you can do about it. Admittedly the message you receive is (often) misleading in that it suggests that your email address / password is wrong (when it isn't).
