problem- opening an attachment

  taffyal 12:40 03 Jan 04

I have been sent a number of photos as attachments in seperate emails. They are apparently "zip". When I try to open them,(1.1MB)it takes about 4 minutes, then file download flashes on & off on the screen. This continued for ages, so I went to "close programme" screen. This showed file download, & about a dozen "lexplore". I could only stop it by cancelling each lexplore seperately. I normally have no probs with photo attachments, but this comes from an aol customer. It has been sent to another aol user, no probs! I'm on tiscali, can this be anything to do with it? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Al.

What zip opening software do you have?
I believe windows has its own, but try to download Winzip for free?

That's great Al...glad to be helping others out for once!!!
Perhaps they used Winzip to send it to you.

Have you ticked the resolved box? ;-)
