Problem with my connection - please help!

Not sure which forum to post this on.

My computer very suddenly doesnt detect my internet connection anymore. It worked a few hours ago and now it wont even detect the connection and i have no idea why.

I run vista home and my internet connection is BeBox. I tried unplugging and re-plugging the wires in but nothing works.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the BeBox as the ethernet light is on and my flatmate's(who is on wireless)internet works fine.

Please help as i urgently need my connection back!

Thanks in advance!

Turn off both computers and then take out the power supply to the router. Leave for a minute and re-attach the power supply to the router. Wait 3 minutes and check that all the LED`s on the router are static and working.

Reboot each computer in turn, and make sure that each one reconnects to the Internet before rebooting the next one. Post back with any problems.

Look at where the cable fits into your PC - are the lights on the socket flashing? One amber, one green usually.

The green light isnt flashing (its on constantly) and the amber light flashes, but not very often.

Thanks for the link, and sorry to all about the double posting.

So the cable's OK. What about the ipconfig result?

Ok, im going to stick to this thread now.

No, none of that other information came up. Just tried it again, and the same stuff appears.

Is this a problem?

Yes, if you've no IPv4 info as I said.
Press Windows+R for the run box, type ncpa.cpl
press return. Right click your Local Area Connection (and make sure it's enabled),select properties, make sure Internet Protocol Version 4 is ticked, if not do so.

Is that a duplication "Default Gateway:" ? There shold only be one number, the 192 one...
Internet back again?
