Problem with keyboard

  281apple 03 Jun 11

When I type on the keyboard of my laptop the U, I, O P J, K, L, etc are written with numbers: 4 5 6 1 2 3, etc. I forgot how to make them work correctly. When I use an external keyboard with my leptop, this does not happen. What do I have to do to correct this? Thanks.

You may have number lock on - check this first.

The "Num Lk" key activates the numeric keyboard. The "Fn" (Function Key) will turn it off, or vice-versa. Press the "num lk" and the "fn" key and it should return to normal!

I tried it but can't do it cause I can not find the "NUM LK key and can't press on "num lk" because I do not have a separate block for numbers as with an extrernal keyboard.

Since I do not have a separate block for numbers there is no "Number Lock".

Maybe there is another way??

What laptop?

What colour are the numbers blue? white?

Since I do not have a separate block for numbers there is no "Number Lock".

You should still have a number lock key irrespective of not having a seperate number pad.

Try fn key + F11 or F12
