Problem with intel 810

  SumKindaMonster 12:42 20 Mar 04

I have a old pc celeron 400 etc with an intel 810 onboard graphics chip. The monitor that is currently being used onl;y supports a max of 640x480 resolution but when i install the intel drivers it automatically puts the refresh rate up to 70hz which the monitor cannot handle.

I am using win2000 pro on thsi machine. does anybody have any advice they could give

I've got an 810 on a 735 P3 and can alter my refresh rates with Intel's tool click here

you can start your computer with windows 2000.
after hardware self check, there will a black-white arrow progressbar displayed, you can press F5 key this time for logining the safe mode of windows 2k.

safe mode will not be loaded drives,so you can adjust your CRT`s refresh to a normal value.
