Problem installing Belkin Wireless PCI card

Just spent all evening trying to install a Belkin 54g PCI card. I'm on W98

Followed instructions loaded drivers first, then installed card. It was found, but when I directed it towards the drivers file it said no drivers there, but there is a .inf file. I tried directing it straight to the CD where I'd found the .inf no joy.

I then tried removing it through control panel, and now I can't find it again. Its not coming up automatically on Plug and Pray, and doing a search for nrew hardware doesn't find it. I've physically removed the card, and all the software. Rebooted, then powered off and started again, but it still won't detect the card now - so any ideas - dodgy card?

semrots, this is no help whatsoever, but I have exactly the same problem, but in my case the PCI is Linksys and the OS XP,I just cannot get the drivers to install. however no problem on my Win 98 PC
