Problem installing ActiveX control

Good morning - Help please ! - My compter needs Adobe Flash Player - yet when I try to install the Active X control for it it won't do it - When I try to install Adobe Flash Player I get the message "Installation failed or was cancelled" - I have trawled this forum and tried some of the solutions offered but they don't work - could someone help me please - Thank you - Ian

TECHNOTIGER - Thank you for that thought - I had already carried out that instruction - But to be on the safe side I did the whole thing again - but I still get the same message "Installation failed or was cancelled" - I was made aware of this problem when I started to get messages saying "This site may need the Adobe Flash Player activeX installed" and I was seeing blank squares with the small coloured square in the top L.H. corner whre there should have been pictures - anyway thank you - Ian

Hmm, in that case I advise you to contact Adobe Support (Home) in my link above - also in Support, you could have a look at the specialised Forums concerning Adobe products.

I can now confirm that I have the FLASH PLAYER PLUG-IN installed on my computer @ C:\windows\system32\macromedia\flash - yet I still keep getting these messages - lol - should I go back to pen and paper ?

Run CCleaner click here in its default set-up. This might get rid of left-overs from your previous efforts.
