is the a problem with ie7

i had al kinds of problems streaming videos on things like you tube, it just wouldn't happen. also the net was painfully slow it was the same as dial up. i'm only on 4mbs but it should've been quicker.
i ran ad aware, spy bot, norton, everything nothing happened.

By chance someone happened to mention they had the same problem to me and they changed over to firefox and everything worked.

i did this and it's true. the web is miles faster, all videos stream fine, i can't believe i've been putting up with the internet the way i was using it before.
Does anyone know if this is a problem with just my IE7 or is it the same for everyone else?
BTW using XP, ISP is AOL, it's supposed to be 8mbs but the most i get is 4. (if it's not raining.)
