Windows has disabled my graphics device (NVIDIA GEFORCE 8300 GS). Windows is saying 'unable to find solution- problem code 43'

Anyone know of any solutions?

Any help appreciated.

Device Manager displays the following message in the Device Properties dialog box, on the General tab, in the Device Status text box:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Diagnosis
A device driver notified the operating system that the device failed.

Uninstall and reinstall your VGA card drivers if you have the same issue after this it may be your card is busted...

Try to re-install the drivers.

The graphics card came with the computer, would there have been a disc with it that would allow me to reinstall?

Thanks

you need to identify what VGA device you have
(standalone or onboard)

the link will help with that, then go to manufacturers website and download latest...

I went ahead and uninstalled it, but when I tried to reinstall from my disk, it says
'the set-up programme could not locate any drivers that are compatable with your current hardware'

Any ideas?
