Try unplugging the card and then reinserting it as it may not be seated properly. Also consider trying it in another slot if there is one spare

Is the card pushed firmly into place?

Is the cable connected properly ?

Did you adjust you screen settings/resolution after install?

Have you installed the drivers for the card?

If you have, you could try uninstall and reinstalling them with any antivirus software shutdown.

remove the card from the slot and restart windows with the old card in place or use the onboard graphics.go to add remove programs and any listing of graphics card drivers here uninstall them but do not reboot.now go to search and do a search for nvidia or mx440 and for the name of your old graphics card delete all folders found.now go to device manager and look for display adapter, right click and uninstall it now shut down the computer.insert the new card and on turning on the computer enter the bios set up by tapping F1 or F2 etc and look for onboard graphics or shared memory under advanced and disable if previously installed.look for vga adapter boot from and set to external agp or pci.exit saving the changes.windows should say found new hardware, click cancel when prompted to install the drivers. install the latest drivers from click here
