Problem with FSB on new upgrade?

Hi, I have just upgraded my motherboard/cpu/memory. AMD xp2400+ /DDR PC 3200.
The CPU says that it is 266 FSB. When I set the motherboard to this the computer will not even boot. All is well if I set it to 133. The computer then shows the CPU correctly. I phoned the company I bought it off and they say this is correct as the CPU/ Memory total is 266. Is this right or are they blinding me with science? Ta, Dennis

Its correct its 133 ... DDR (DOUBLE DATA RATE)

so 133 x 2 =266
