Problem copying mp3s to cd

  astral traveller 23:15 23 Mar 03

I have copied mp3 files to a few cds with no problems, however very recently it all seems to have gone pear shaped. As a test I can copy to CDWR okay but when I try to copy to CDR it seems to go okay i.e. appears to be copying, but either the CD remains blank or I end up with a coaster. I have tried reducing the write speed from 40x to 8x but it hasn't helped and have ensured that "copy as data files" is selected - I want to keep the files as mp3, not convert them. I am drag and dropping the files in explorer - which has worked okay up to now. I am using win xp home, HDD 80GB with 70GB free, processor is AMD 1900 and 512 mb memory. Any suggestions appreciated.

Ps, am I right in thinking that media player won't copy mp3s to mp3?

make a new shortcut on desk top

"C:\Program Files\ahead\Nero\nero.exe" /w

Use Nero Burn.

I do this all the time using Nero and don't make many coasters over a year, maybe 5 out of 100 or so.

Nero is sooo good! :)
