Problem connecting laptop wireless

I have recently changed my wireless router from a Linksys WAG2000 to a Wireless WAG 54GS. My main PC is on Win 7, and I have a laptop on Vista 64 bit,and have a USB wireless dongle. Before I changed the router I connected via the dongle with no problem, now I cannot connect, I am sure that I have all the correct passcodes but they all fail. Can I reset these on the router without losing internet connecting? If so how do I do it.

All you need do is go to Network Connections in Control Panel, and choose create New Connection then input the Encryption key in when it asks for it

Sounds simple but it will not connect, I have put in the Encryption code as given when I set up the router, put in the password I made up, but all fails.

Thanks but I think that I have at long last sorted it.

Take care.

Forgot to say, it may need a reboot
