Problem with cntrl+alt+del

I am using XP Home SP2. When I use cntrl+alt+del to end an unresponding task, the sub window lists the tasks and does have an "End Now" button but that is all. There are no other tags to services etc and no way of closing the window. I have to restart the computer. How can I repair this please? It used to work OK.

Regards

Dennis

If you have a WinXP CD put it in the Computer, at Run type SFC /SCANNOW to check for corrupt files
