Problem with Broadband and Phone Use

  Tricky 3003 17:05 27 Sep 05

For some reason my internet goes down whenever I'm using the phone at the same time.

I have tried swapping filters around but to no avail?

Any suggestions?

I think that either you have connected the filters wrongly or you have a faulty filter. See if this helps click here

The most likely cause of this is interference from the analogue (phone) portion of the signal to the digital (broadband) portion, which is causing corruption of the signal.

One way this can happen is with a faulty filter. A voltage spike caused by the handset being lifted, should be filtered out.

Another would be from a cordless phone causing radio interference.

You will have to experiment to find the guilty party.

You may have a couple of wires crossed in the junction box
