Problem booting from new ssd Hard Drive.

  planetjupiter 12:12 17 Mar 15

I have just fitted an SSD drive and cannot set the device as the primary boot source. I have Win 7 home premium. Gigabyte GA-H61M=USB3H Micro-ATX Motherboard.

I have two options on booting up F12 or Del key. If I press F12 I get the option of selecting the SSD drive and it duly boots up ok. Pressing Delete key shows all the boot options but the SSD drive is not shown so I am unable to save this as the primary boot option. Can anyone help please?

I have the exactly the same problem...What did you do to correct it?

Also, once fitted, did you notice a decent improvement in boot-up times?

I changed boot sequence in Bios but cannot remember now quite how! Tremendous difference in boot up speed.
