Private files in xp

Hi,how do i un privatise my files and folders in xp home?.I set a limited account up for my son
and it asked if i wonted to make my files private i said yes is there a way to undo the change.

right click the file/folders that you want to share



take the tick out of make this folder private

i think this is what your after!

or if that doesn't work for you,
you may need to do this

First : You may need to enable simple file sharing by going to Windows
Explorer > click on Tools > Folder Options > Click on the "View" tab and
scroll down and tick "Use simple File sharing"..


goto your c drive where windows is installed

Double-click the Documents and Settings folder.

Double-click your user folder.

Right-click any folder in your user profile, and then click Properties.

On the Sharing tab, untick the Make this folder private so that only I
have access to it check box.

I have looked at that and there is a tick in the box to make it private but it greyed out and i cant untick it.And there isnt an option to use simple file sharing in the folders view menu.

Right click on the file or folder, go to properties, sharing. In the bottom of the window click on where it says "the options on this tab are disabled because this folder is in another folder (underlined) that is private"

Take the tick out of "make folder private", click apply, then ok

Thanks thats sorted it ,will i have to do that for all the folders? or is there a overide that can do them all,i looked on the c: drive for the option so i could make every folder in there not private but i cant see one.
