Printing problem!

I wonder if anyone can help me?

I have a HP 940C printer using colour / black cartridges both are 'high quality re-engineered' compatible cartridges purchased from a reputable company.

The printer has been functioning perfectly until recently, but unfortunately I am now unable to print due to a message appearing on screen stating that the printer cartridge is incompatible or that there is no colour cartridge installed.

I have tried removing the cartridge, switching off, re-installing etc without any effect.

Have you any idea what is causing this problem and if so, what is the cure.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling the printer.

Have you tried a different (pref HP) cartridge. Presume the one you have is chipped, this may be the problem.

Hi, have a look at click here.
It tells you how to refill cartridges and also how to reset the ink levels for your printer.
