Is it possible to print the file path on a word 2007 and excel document?

Excel:

On the Insert menu > Header and Footer > Click File Path.

Word:

On the Insert menu > Header > click Edit Header > click Quick Paths > click Field > click Filename > tick Add path to filename (phew!).

Many thanks, VoG. Excel worked straight away. As you say, 'phew!', with the Word document. I wonder if one could make a shortcut key? Also, I can't see any way to make this as a default option in either program. Is there one?

without trying this out, but what you might be able to do is create a blank document and add the features via the header/footer as per the advise from VoG™...
Then without making any other changes save the document in question as the default template.

On second thoughts... I'm not so sure that would be a good idea, as it may not update, and just give the template path!

Many thanks, Simsy. I'll try this when I have a moment, but I'll mark this thread as resolved, as I probably don't want the path on every document.
