has anyone else had this pronblem? When I try to print a document in lanscape fromat from Word to my HP laserjet, it prints in portrait mode. I've changed the page setupto be A5 landscape in Word and in the printer settings all to no avail.

This is a little difficult to describe but I think your printer is using A4 paper. If I`m right you can try these tips and let me know. Option One - in your printer settings select A5 paper and match landscape in Word with Landscape printing. If that doesn`t work just change the printer to portrait.

Option two - Keep the printer settings on A4 and portrait. It`s all to do with what the printer thinks the paper size is in it`s cassette.

Presumably it prints landscape if you select portrait?

The A5 paper probably needs to go in short edge first for the orientation to be correct: If you're feeding it in through an A4 tray without narrowing-down the paper guides, it's probably going sideways (long side first). That's not really a problem -- just select portrait instead.
