Printer spooling file

Hi all, I would like by printer to print faster than it does.

The reason for the slow printing isn't the printer itself but, instead, the fact that my program has to write to a paging file (because my print job is so large) before it can send the data to the actual printer.

I've installed a RAM Drive to drive B and would like to use that to spool to. This would speed the output up tremendously.

Does anyone know where Windows XP writes the file to before it sends it to the printer?

I could then alter the drive to drive B, the RAM Disk which would cure the problem.

I know it's doing all this as the hard drive is working over time (I can hear it) before each printout.

It's OK now, I've found where Windows XP spools to.

And, just for the record, it makes no difference to the speed.

The bottleneck seems to be the program itself, which is slow at generating the output to the printer spool in the first place.
