Hi Wizards of the Computer World,

I'm looking to buy a printer for my daughter's flat. Cheap, cheerful, small and doesn't even have to do colour. I'm conscious of the cost of some cartridges so am also looking for something which will work with compatible caertridges.

Wondered about the HP D1460 (?)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Personally I prefer Epson, and I do know compatibles are ok.

Samsung Laser, ML 1610, 2010, etc. all available for around £49:99, easy to refill and normally trouble free. Cheap and cheerful.
