I have recently installed a Jetway motherboard with normal atx set out, but it is not recognising that there is an LPT1 port. I have installed drivers etc but port not available, any ideas? (As printer says LPT1 unavailable..)

cheers

Try having a look in the BIOS (del on startup) and see if the port is enabled (it almost certainly will be) and configured to Normal. It may be that your printer needs it configured to EPP or bi-directional. Does it show up OK as recognised in Device Manager (Ports)?

Have you tried looking in the BIOS (press F2 or ESC) when the computer starts and check if the lpt1 port is enabled? This happened to me with several ATX type motherboards defaults set as disabled.
