Printer problem blocked nozzle

Epson C40 printer, no output from the black have got fed up doing the cleaning cycle. Anyboy know of a suitable liquid that may do a cleaning job? It has been a good work horse up till now.

paddyjack, unfortunately this is the number 1 case against Epson printers. There are cleaning cartridges for Epson printer heads. These are just like the ink cartridges but filled with a cleaning fluid. Some are available from MX2 click here, but they don't list one for your printer. You may find that you can remove the cartridge and apply a quantity of isopropyl alcohol to the print head and leave it for a period of time to dissolve the ink residue, but wait for someone who has had success with this method to reply before you try it. I have to say, however, that I don't rate your chances of success very highly.

Thanks Gongoozler. I have been toying with geting a new printer anyhow the decision may now be made for me.
