I have an Epson Stylus Office BX300F All In One Printer.
When I now print, the bottom of characters are missing on some lines and it will not print red.
I have tried cleaning the heads many times but it does not maker any difference.
I may have to take it back to PC World as it is still under Guarantee
Any advice much appreciated

Broken characters would seem to indicate blocked jets.
By all means take it back.

If the head cleaning routine hasn't cured the problem, you have two choices.

1. Fit new ink cartridges in the hope that this will solve the problem (but is expensive if it doesn't).

2. Take it back to PC World.

If you do 2. make sure that it has original Epson cartridges fitted, otherwise you may get an argument about the warranty.

I tried your 2nd link and IE says "domain is blocked" - is this so or is it my IE6? Thanks David

Thank you for your replies.
Went to Staples and bought a set of inks. The store manager served me and tried to get me to buy a second pack as there was a promotion on. He then said that I would get a reduction of £1 for every empty cartridge I returned. I had one with me to make sure I got the correct one for my printer. He agreed to credit me with 8 so I got a second pack of four cartridges at less than half price.
The printer is now working correctly after I installed the new cartridges.
So consider this thread closed.

My guess is that you will be using "Staples" from now on !

Can I ask what brand of cartridges Staples sold you, their own or Epson?
