Printer Memory

I once heard that it is possible to transfer a computer memory chip onto a printer. I want to know if this is possible, and can I use any PC?

printer memory modules are usually in a proprietry format so unless you have a very old printer and old memory chips that are seated in sockets rather than soldered to the board its very unlikely that you will be able to achieve this. the chips would have to be of exactly the right size and speed so not just any chip would do. Read the Manual for your printer for thespecs of its memory module.
