Printer Kaput!

Hi Guys,
My Epson Stylus C46 flatly refuses to do anything.

It began when the red light was blinking. I checked everything and even reinstalled it but still nothing.

Now it won't even switch on and yet everything is connected.

The last Epson I had stopped working with a message to say it needed maintenence...could that be it? No message.

That is the cause
The service required alludes to the waste ink tank needing cleaning out - very messy.
Cheaper and more convenient to get that new printer.
But wait there may be life in the old girl yet.
Download the Epson utility from click here.

Set it to your printer model.
Right click on the bottom tool bar icon and in the resulting pop-up menu click on 'Reset Counters'

If you fancy changing its pads take look at

click here- and enter in the field the make model you want to talk about.

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately neither link recognises Epson Stylus C46.

The first one says it does until you download it but it doesn't.

Heigh ho....looks like I'll be buying a new printer.

Thanks again

Good education to play awhile rather than chucking it.

Have you checked the Manual for the 'light blink' references?

Thanks for your replies. The link you gave me eedcam is the same as Jacks and it doesn't work. I downloaded it but the print in red said it worked up to Windows XP. I ignored that and carried on.

Then it didn't recognize the C46 and that was it couldn't go any further.

Unfortunately the printer is past the stage of 'blinking lights.' It is now totally dead and having spent most of yesterday on the damn thing, I can't be doing with it.

My computer blew up about a month ago.......so I think I've had more than enough computer education!!!! lol

So it's off to the shops for me and into the bin for C46, after I try to remove the nearly full cartridges!

Thanks once again.

Moll
