Printer install and NTLDR missing issue!

  albu 11:17 31 Mar 07

Installed an Epson Stylus DX 4000 printer onto my xp home pc system and all went well. The next time I tried to boot up I got the message:
Boot from CD: Ntldr is missing, press ctrl + alt + del to restart.

Has anyone encountered this problem before when having installed the DX 4000 printer?

As I have a system recovery disc from PC World, is there any way to prevent me losing data on the computer when I return it to factory settings?

Thanks for any help or advice given.

Silly question: have you left the printer CD in the drive?
