Hi All,
I posted a question on here a couple of weeks ago, asking how to network a printer for a dos accounts package running in xp. I wanted it to map LPT2: to a printer being shared on another XP machine.

Kindly, I received a link saying to use the command NET USE....and I typed the following into the command prompt in XP...

net use lpt2 \\Main-office\hp600 /persistent:yes

The response said it was successful. However, I was wondering what I do about drivers?. Do I need a driver for the printer in XP or does this bypass it altogether?.

Many thanks for all your support.
