As we now have both a PC and Laptop but only one printer I want to get a 2 port USB connector for my printer so that both PC and Laptop can be connected at same time. Was emailed some details last week for one that cost about £4.99 but deleted email in error and cannot remember the company.Found it on google but unable to find it again but will keep looking.Any ideas appreciated.

not sure if it will work like that, but if you have a router for Broadband. You can use this without buying anything, only problem is that the Computer with Printer Connected as to be switched on to use it from other computer. You have to network the two computers to do it that way, or you could buy a Printer Server that plugs into the Router.

You can use a sharing switch as you show but both would have to be connected by cable to the PC'c. With a Server or networked it would not need it like that, the Server is the best option
