I have just purchased a 3-in-1 printer. I know how to print off it, but I don't know how to scan. the instruction book says press the scan button, but when i do, nothin prints off. Do i have to press print, or do i have to go on the comp and find a file for it?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

You have to put whatever you want to scan under the lid, then press the scan button.

Remember that scanning is not the same thing as copying. Copying is effectively a combination of the scanning and printing functions, but when you scan, the printer won't print out your scanned image automatically.

click here for HP's instructions on how to scan and save an image.
