Hi everyone,
I've got an Epson all-in-one printer scanner etc. The problem is that it won'e work, the computer does not list it under 'Printers and faxes'. I,ve been on MS Knowledge Base and follewed the advice re. starting the spooler etc, and I've even started it through RUN 'start net spooler'. But the thing still isn't recognised. Is the next step to try and do a repair from the Win XP CD?
Any advice greatly reeived.

Cheers
Keith

Did you follow the Epson software and drivers installation exactly as detailed?

If you don't problems can arise (I'm presuming it's a USB model).

Try uninstalling the software after downloading the latest drivers and software from the Epson website (if newer versions are available) and then installing the software again.

Other possibilities are faulty leads or cables; also check USB controllers in Device Manager.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that was the first thing I tried.

Try unplug printer, go to my computer>device manager and uninstall all usb devices, remove all epson software from control panel>add/remove. Reboot and let win find usb devices, then install epson software but don't plug printer into usb skt until asked by software installer
