Print Spooler Service

  Aphorist 09:24 10 Nov 04

On my Windows 2000 system, when I open an Office 2000 program in particular I find that everything slows down. Looking in Task Manager I find that the print spooler service is using ever increasing amounts of memory, it just keeps on going up until I stop the service via Administrative Services.
There are no pending print jobs and the dependant services Fax and TCP/IP shouldn't be having this effect.
Any ideas anyone?

Maybe clean reinstall of printer driver could clear it.
