primary and slave

hi there, just installed new hard drive, and two dvd writers, all sata, dvd drives are really slow, and have hdd in sata 1 and dvd writers in satas 2 and 3, in bios it states that primary and slave are empty but satas 123 are in correct order, do i need to make my hdd primary and follow suit with dvd drives, and how would you do that

Check your Boot Priorities in BIOS, make hard drive First boot option.

Your motherboard will have 1 IDE interface in addition to the SATA ones. This is what your BIOS is referring to as Primary and Slave. Since all your drives are SATA this isn't affecting your system and would only be appropriate if you connected any IDE drives. Primary and Slave has no relevance to SATA drives.
