Preventing Image Theft

I am building a website for a friend who is an amateur photographer. On the site, he wants a gallery where visitors can view his work, however he wants to make sure that his work cannot be downloaded and stolen.

While making the page, I incorporated a 'no right click' javascript which works well. The problem is that in IE, leaving the mouse over the image causes a small toolbar to pop up, which allows the viewer to save to drive or print the image.

Is there any way to disable this?

Thanks,
Brian

The most simple way to prevent images being used without the copyright holders permission is to embed a watermark or spoiler.

Even with right click disabled there are hundereds of otherways of getting that image. Just left clicking the image and dragging the cursor to the address bar will give you that image on its own. The print screen button also proves very handy.

to totally protect an image. As Sir Radfordin says, it's so easy to take a screenshot. Either use a low resolution image that would look terrible when printed, or deface it with a copyright notice.
