PQV2iSvc.exe - should I be worried?

  Graham. 20:25 08 Dec 07

My hard drive keeps chuntering away, so I looked in Task Manager and found the above process running. Google found this click here so I let it scan.

The first thing it says is 'Malicious entry in Hosts file. Delete?' I said yes.

After a reboot, the scan found nothing. But the process is still running.

Is it malware, and what will shift it if it is?

Do you have Norton Ghost? click here

It could also be a legit part of Norton ... click here

it is possible that the item you found in Google could simply be one of the many scam frighteners, trying to get you to part with your hard-earned lolly for their own best-in-the-World malware remover LoL.

Yes I do have Ghost. I saw it mentioned in the google results. I will leave it alone then.

I've just noticed the Hosts file is not stopping pop-ups now that scanner deleted something. How do I correct that?
