I have received an e-mail attachment with a ppt file.
Ultimate wont open it ,I have to create an association in the
Set associations Control Panel.i don’t know where to find the
Set associations Panel, or how to create an association

This is a Microsoft Powerpoint file, Powerpoint being part of Office 2000 etc.

Or you could download and use Open Office Org which will read ppt files, it is fully compatable with Office.

PS - to set associations it is Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>File types.

i tried again and it downloaded, now i have the viewer in the start menu,but i cannot see how to use it

Just double click on the file and it should open in PowerPoint Viewer

there is no files type tab in my folder options

i double click on the file, it still tells me
to get an association for it
