I cannot open .pps files. The message I get is 'create an association in the set associations control panel'. I use Vista and I cannot find a set associatons in the control panel. Can anyone tell me how to do this.

If by chance you dont have powerpoint you can download open office for free, and it will show your slide show, which is what I had to do in order to view pps presentations

If it is like xp go to control panel/folder options/file types tab/go to pps and click on it,it should say opens with powerpoint if not click advanced and browse/pick powerpoint thats if youve got powerpoint installed

If you don't have MSOffice :-

Either use OpenOffice (as above)

or download and install the MS Powerpoint Viewer

As DieSse says, use the MS Powerpoint viewer - This is what I had to use when viewing some very amusing .pps files which my cousin sent me. No bothers with that.
