Powers of Ten

  bswatts 22:15 03 Apr 05

My Open University tutorial DVD tells me that
10²° should be typed by holding down the shift+control keys to get the power of '20'. This does not work in Word for me! I got it by reference to the 'Character Map' ,which is a bit short on numbers ans this very laborious.
Any ideas?

Type in 1020

Select the 20, Format/Font, tick Superscript.

If you type in the text you want, i.e. 1020 and then highlight the 20 you can make it super-script by then pressing the shift, the control and the + (the = key on the top line of the keyboard) keys all together. You should then end up with the result that you want.
