Powerline Adapters & Different Ring Mains

  Robuff 17:38 02 Dec 13

I would like to improve strength of wifi connections around the house. I have considered Powerline adapters, but my router is plugged into one 30A ring main in an extension (& one Powerline adapter would then be plugged into an adjacent socket), whilst I would wish to plug the other adapter into a room in the older part of the house. The sockets in this room are on a different 30A ring main, although both are connected to the same consumer unit. Would the Powerline adapters still "talk" to each other?
