Just welcoming opinions.

  DieSse 18:22 02 Mar 03

There's nothing wrong with your system - you could upgrade if you wished, but that's another matter. What is it you want an opinion about?

256Mb is perahps a little low for WinXP - but it all depends what you want from your system - only you can tell us that.

  powerless 18:26 02 Mar 03

Well no need to post all of that info

OVERKILL.

But umm the spec looks good. Dont touch it!

;-)

  Scouse 18:36 02 Mar 03

Ok, I accept that but if you you want the full picture you must use all of the canvas!

With regards to opinions, well, I know my spec is dated compared to recent additions to the market but as a non expert in this field I would be prepared to accept advice/opinions on improvements and upgrades.

Depends entirely on what you are planning to use your system for in the near future.

I have a 400MHz Celeron slightly overclocked to 450MHz, four-year-old Elite P6BXT-A+ mobo, GeForce2 32MB 400MX graphics card, 128MB RAM, 1 17in iiyama S702GT monitor, Agfa SnapScan 1212u, digital camera and an eight-year-old Canon BJC600e printer.

It does all that I require and the only upgrades since 1999 have been the digital camera and the scanner.

I didn't even need to buy a scanner as I had a Mustek, but jungle.com offered the superior Agfa for just £33.23 including delivery and I snapped one up; retail price generally at that time was £75 to £104.
