PowerDVD 5 Patch 1107- CD Key Problem

Anyone using PowerDVD 5 tried to install patch 1107?? click here

It asks for your CD Key during installation and rejects mine (Legal, bought and paid for) I've seen a few other threads on other forums on this but no answers.

I wondered if it might because my copy is PowerDVD 4 OEM (stereo) upgraded to PowerDVD 5 Deluxe (lovely proper surround sound!!!!!!!)

Currently waiting for Cyberlink to come up with an answer...

Oh and its not a mis-type (1 = I, 2 = Z, etc) problem either. CD Key is copy and pasted from the e-mail i got when i bought the (download) upgrade. Exactly the same as when i installed the upgrade and it didn't complain then!

Can you check in the About box for me. I've now downloaded this patch several times now.

Finally i went back to Cyberlink site and re-downloaded. This patch was listed as the 1107 patch but didn't ask me for the CD key this time. Also it didn't state it was the 1107 patch during setup unlike the previous version.

My about box says: "DVD version 5.00.1031" but further down it says "UI 1107". Does this agree with your copy?

I got a reply from Cyberlink Support who asked me a bunch of questions i already answered and now the support page crashes when i try to reply....

5.00.1031 and ui 1107 same here Jester2K

if i remember correctly when i installed the patch it also did not state it was patch 1107,just said patch set up install,no number.

my pervious version number was 0805 i think.

My previous version was 0805 too.

I downloaded the patch a few days ago. That version and the one i downloaded off mirror sites all stated 1107 Patch whilst installing. Then i re-downloaded from Cyberlink tonight. It doesn't mention 1107 Patch and went through without asking for a CD key.

As our numbers match I'll conclude this is the correct patch now.

Cheers.
