power supply compatability

Hi folks
I am about to build a new PC for my son, a fairly basic socket A mobo and sempron proc.
My question is do I have to be careful which case I buy or do they all still come with power supply plugs that fit socket A boards.
Thanks in advance

Hi tiscalitrev. Most power supplies come with the standard ATX connector and with additional 12V connectors. You need to check that the power supply has a connector that is either 20pin, or adaptable to 20 pin. This one is an example of a connector that is 20 or 20 pin compatible click here
