I've got to replace my Graphics card and have been recommended this one for a AGP slot click here,
But i believe my power supply is not up to running it so needs upgrading too, any recommendations on which one is a good choice and can run all the components listed below, my computer is about 3 yrs old and have been told some new power supplies will not work with older systems.
Thanks for your time.

The reason some new power supplies don't fit older systems is due to the size of the ATX connector. The PSU recommended by umbongo(uk) has a 20 pin and 4 pin connector. Check the connectors on your motherboard. Even if it's wrong, there are adapters to overcome this.

I just looked at my motherboard and i think it's a 20 pin

  umbongo(uk) 11:47 22 Jul 07

the pin splits off so it can be 20 pin as well as 24

plus their is an extra 4 pin usually called ATX12V P4
the power supply is a go between as is backward compatable

hope this image helps explain the 24pin on the power supply

I personally would prefer something like this click here modular so you can get rid of any extra cables you don't need and a good make.

  DJfree33 19:35 22 Jul 07

Do the required cables come with it too or do u buy them on top?
