Power saving options gone

  handful 10:47 23 May 03

I am running XP Home and for some reason my power saving options have disappeared. When I go into screensaver and power saving options the window is greyed out and no options are listed. In the other user accounts there is no problem. I have obviously done something but have no idea what. Any ideas???

Have you got advanced power management for this user?

The APM tab is present in the Power Options tool in Control Panel, but it is not enabled by default. To configure this option:
In Control Panel, double-click Power Options.
On the APM tab, click Enable Advanced Power Management Support.
Absolutely no idea if this will help- but it's worth a look!

I don't have an APM tab. Only tabs are Power Schemes, Advanced, Hibernate and UPS. On all other users the different options are listed but on mine as I mentioned above, the window is greyed out. Not exactly crucial to my existence but very damn annoying. Thanks for the suggestion though beeuuem. Any more would be much appreciated.
