Power Dvd Dropping Frames

I am setting up an old pc of mine for young family members to mess about with.
I was hoping to be able to play dvd's on it also, but when using Power Dvd it drops frames, making it difficult to watch!
The system is a Pentium II 233 with 128Mb Ram and a 32 Mb Nvidia Graphics Card, running Windows ME. (I did say it was old)

Is there Dvd Viewer software which might work better on this system than Power Dvd?
If not, any other suggestions? (other than scrapping the old thing)

Cheers

You are probably at the very lowest end of the scale for dvd watching - an early version of PowerDVD might work if you can track it down - most nowadays like more memory and processing power.

If you have got windows 98, I would install that. ME is probably your problem, cos it's crap....TT
