I live outside the UK where prices are very, very high. What could be the cheapest sources anywhere in the world from where I could reliably import individual computer parts in retail, say a mobo or a garphic card?

Depends where you are (Delivery costs, Taxes etc etc)

Delivery costs & taxes should be disregarded. I am interested in the price of the parts itself.

The UK is not reknowned for being cheap either.

This can be a very complex thing you are trying to do and without more detail, you could be misguided by anything said here.

For example the USA is cheap compared to the UK but you have a problem first of all finding a supplier willing to export small orders, possible problems with US Customs, possible problems with UK Customs duties and taxes that, in the end, you may wish you hadn't bothered.
