Hi There,

I wonder if someone could give me a bit of guidance on how to fix problems detailed below!!

I’m trying to fix a problem with my Sisters PC. I think here son may have inadvertently downloaded a virus.
Firstly, during startup, the following message appears

Error loading C:\PROGRA~1\MYWEBS~1\bar\1.bin\M3PLUGIN.DLL

Secondly, When an attempt is made to access the internet using IE, the following message appears.

Critical Error!

Attention, name! Some dangerous viruses detected in your system. Microsoft Windows XP files corrupted. This may lead to destruction of important files in C:\Windows. Download protection software now!

Click OK to download the antispyware. (Recommended)

Many Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the advice rawprawn!!

Couple of quick questions!

Are the two problems related?

Do i need to run SUPERAntispyware in "Safe Mode"?

Cheers JD

Not sure about them being related, but more than likely. It is better to scan in safe mode if you are relaxed with that although I find that program very good whichever way.

Some good news, some not so good news!!

Critical Error = Fixed, i think!!

RUNDLL = Unchanged

Although this error message dosen't appear to stop anything from working, its very annoying!!

Any further advise much appreciated!!

I think the issue is now solved!

Installed Winpatrol (I run this on all my machines)

Removed MYWEBS from startup program menu, and it appears to have fixed the problem.

I have checked the registry, as advised, they are as they should be!

Many thanks to you both, once again PC Advisor comes up with the goods!!!

Thanks again JL
