Download 'Mailwasher' from click here and use it before using your mail program.

Hi,

As Dave suggested go to the SpamPal site (spampal.org or spampal.org.uk) and download the lastest version of Spampal.

Once installed, the DNSBL's (dns blacklist servers) will block your spam, however, if they still get through, you can add them to SpamPal's blacklist, as you wanted

Ie.:

*unwantedmail.com

As a side issue, most porn emails contain web-bugs, which can be used to track the fact you actually received the email, a new spampal beta plugin, called HtmlModify (click here) can be used to stop this.

Hope that helps,

Steve

Personally, I do not like the idea of spam blacklists. Firstly, as soon as a sender is blacklisted, they just move on to use another address. Secondly, many legitimate mails can be blocked / deleted (false positives).

Hi jazzypop

Basically, I whitelist the people I know I want
to hear from, use two or three dnsbl's (spampal etc.) and then use the Bayesian plugin, which you can make learn which are good/bad emails.

No easy answers.. but certainly things are better now than just using blacklists, like outlook's blocked senders list.
